Is AKMuckraker involved in the running of this blog?

We have asked for AKMuckraker’s permission to run this blog; it is run on her domain and we know she reads it. She has an Administrator log-in to the blog. However, that is where her involvement ends, as she is currently very busy running The Mudflats blog and keeping up with Alaskan politics. We hope we may be able to talk her into posting something down the track, but for now the job of running this blog falls to The Mudflats forum staff - in particular the Admins. How do I contact the people running the blog?

My comment didn’t appear when I posted it. What happened?

  • If you changed your name, email address, or you posted from a different computer, the software may not recognise it is you and may think you are a first time commentor - your comment will be held in moderation until it is approved by one of the moderators.
  • If you posted more than one link in your post, the software may be holding your comment for moderation.

I want to guest post. How long should my post be?

If your post includes a photograph then your post could be as short as a caption for that photograph. If your post is text only you will want to make it a little longer, perhaps two or three paragraphs. If each paragraph is quite long we may break it into more paragraphs as people find it easier to digest small chunks of text.

How many posts can I submit?

As many as you can write. We may not publish them all at once as we are aiming for variety here on the blog and we will mix up the authors.

If you have given us your email address and we have time, we will email you to let you know that your post has been scheduled.

Is there a chance my post will not appear?

Generally we accept all submissions to I Heart Mudflats. However we do reserve the right to reject posts. Before we do reject a post, we will make every effort to work with you to make the post something we are able to post here on the blog.

Why doesn’t this website look like the other Mudflats website?

We made a conscious choice to make this website look very different to the other website, so that you would easily know where you were just by looking at the page.
