I’m reading The Pythons Autobiography - bookmark a flyer from inside the newspaper - and All Together Dead, by Charlaine Harris - bookmark is a small packet of extra buttons.

I’m reading Solar by Ian McEwan, and using the cover flaps (it’s a hardback) as bookmarks…
Then I’m going to read a Diana Gabaldon book and turn the corners of the pages to mark my spot.
Hardback vs. used-bookstore-paperback techniques…

I’ve not yet read the Python’s Autobiography or Solar, the first two responses. They sound good! Still getting through the funny and insightful Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It’s about her journey of self-discovery as she traveled through Italy, India and Indonesia after her divorce. I LOOOOOOVE this book!
As for a bookmark, I use an old metro ticket I still had after leaving Washington D.C. The little panda bear on it reminds me of what a dynamic place our capital is.

It’s a little embarrassing to admit, but I’m reading an Evanovich “non-Plum” novel. It’s in the other room, and if I pick it up, the rest of the day will be gone before I set it down again. I think it’s the first one she wrote back when.
The bookmark is - wow, it’s a bookmark! Gotten from the knit shop where I work, it serves as a business card too.
Next in line is an anthology of four mystery stories, starting with JD Robb. Face down on the arm of the sofa is the current bookmark (oops…).
