Brian Visits Australia
Brian dropped in to see Snoskred at her new home. Snoskred took Brian for a walk in her new backyard, and here is a photo of Brian checking out the view.

Brian thinks he might stick around for a bit, but he is not so sure about going for a moose wander in these waters. He found jellyfish!

Looks like a lovely visit, Brian, but do be VERY careful around those jellies. They can be very painful, and I understand the ones in Oz can be particularly vicious.
Snos–do take good care of him! He might even enjoy a kayak trip out into that lovely water, and that would keep him safe from the jellies!

Someone tell me -as I am sure there is a reason, what are jellyfish for? What good do they do? Who eats them? What do they eat?

paula–I believe they feed on planktons. I’m pretty sure something feeds on them; one or more of the whales, perhaps? They are a pain for fishermen though, when then clog nets and pots. Ah, turns out that some species are actually eaten by humans too: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jellyfish They’re also used in research, particularly using their bioluminescence.

My invitation to the house-warming must have been lost in the mail. I cannot imagine waking to that view every day. Lucky Snoskred & Brian…

Lovely. The weather there might not be quite to Brian’s tastes, but there’s lot of nice water to play in.
