Equinus Moosus

From Mudpuppy WakeUpAmerica:

I thought you might enjoy (and possibly be amazed) at a picture of the very reclusive California Desert Moose from the genus Equinus Moosus. They are seldom found in captivity. This is a rare photo, so please treat it gently. This moose’s name is actually Denali (really). His horns just started to come out, so they aren’t impressive; however, I will send pictures when they become stronger and bigger. We’re thinking that a possible vitamin deficiency has made them somewhat floppy. He looks rather docile in these pictures, but he is very strong and proud with a fiery temperament (honest).

    That is amazing.

I’m especially impressed by the symetrical red coloring surrounding his head and muzzle.

And he’s eating a rare desert plant delicacy, a rope cactus?

I can’t wait to see him when his antlers have grown a bit bigger and stiffer.

Is that another rare Equinus Moosus in the background, in the much rarer brown color?

Yes, mlaiuppa, that is another member of this rare herd in the background. Also, faintly visible in the back are the Sierras.

    WakeUpAmerica Says:

So Greytdog, does that mean that the Alligator Moossissippiensis has a moose size penis, hence the name? (it had to be said)

I think your horse (Denali) looks p!ssed off because you put gloves on his ears. :)

Now that is an amazing rare moose! I understand they are quite shy. However did you manage to get so close?

Perhaps I should dig up my old photos of the also very rare Felines Moosus. Only on very rare Christmases would one of these appear. As moose go they are quite small and often overlooked hiding in the garlands.
